PotteryNex (“the App”) helps ceramic artists create, manage, and analyze glaze recipes. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
PotteryNex may process:
Content you create
Recipes, ingredients, notes, material entries, firing schedules, gallery items, tags, ratings, photos, and 3D model files.
Files and media you choose to import
Images from your camera or photo library.
Files you select for import or export (such as JSON or USDZ).
Optional AI feature input
If you use cloud AI mode, prompts and related recipe or material context you submit may be sent to an external AI provider to generate responses.
If you use on-device mode, processing stays entirely on your device.
Diagnostics and crash data
Basic diagnostics may be collected by Apple depending on your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
We use data to:
- Operate app features (calculations, storage, search, and organization)
- Generate exports and backups you request
- Provide optional AI assistance when enabled by you
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
Data may be shared only in limited cases:
With service providers you choose to use
Example: cloud AI processing when cloud mode is enabled.
With Apple services
Example: iCloud or CloudKit sync if enabled on your device or account.
When required by law
To comply with legal obligations.
4. Tracking and Advertising
PotteryNex does not use cross-app tracking for advertising.
5. Data Storage and Retention
App content is primarily stored on your device.
If iCloud sync is enabled, synced data may also be stored in your iCloud account.
Data is retained until you delete it, uninstall the app, or disable sync (subject to Apple/iCloud behavior and backups).
6. Your Choices
You can:
- Revoke camera, photos, or files permissions in iOS Settings
- Delete recipes, materials, gallery items, and other content in the app
- Use on-device mode instead of cloud AI mode
- Export and import your own backups
7. Security
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect data handled by the App. No storage or transmission method is 100% secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
PotteryNex is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected by a new effective date.
