Privacy & support

Effective October 14, 2026

Floatillery is a single-player artillery strategy game for iPhone and iPad created by Mark Barta. This page covers the privacy practices of version 0.23.2 and provides gameplay help.

Information handled by the game

Floatillery does not require an account. The game does not collect or transmit personal information to Mark Barta or third-party advertising or analytics services. It does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell app user data.

Progress and settings on your device

Campaign progress, earned stars, research, ammunition unlocks, and game preferences are saved locally on your device. The game does not provide account-based cloud synchronization or public sharing. Removing the app removes its local data; device backups are managed separately through your Apple settings. Offloading an app may retain its data.

Apple services

Apple handles the App Store purchase and download. We do not receive your payment card information. Apple may process diagnostic or usage information according to your device settings and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Our email provider processes messages to deliver and store them. We retain correspondence only as long as needed for support or legal obligations. You may request deletion by contacting us. Support correspondence is not used for advertising.

Children's privacy

The game does not ask children or other players to provide personal information. A parent or guardian can contact us about information voluntarily sent through support.

This website

Visiting this page and using the website's newsletter are covered separately by the Barta Ceramics website privacy policy. Website analytics are not part of Floatillery.

Policy updates

If the game's privacy practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated.

Floatillery support

For game help or privacy questions, email Mark Barta at BartaCeramics@gmail.com. Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, game version, campaign level, and a description of the issue. Avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Start a battle

Hold your iPhone or iPad in landscape orientation. Choose a campaign level and difficulty, place defenses within your construction budget, and begin the battle. Adjust bearing, elevation, and power, then fire. Wind, height, and terrain affect your shot.

Save up for ammunition

You can skip your aiming turn even when you can afford ammunition. Saving resources can let you use a stronger shot later. Your loadout can contain up to five ammo types; campaign victories unlock more choices.

Progress and troubleshooting

Campaign progress saves automatically. If the game is unresponsive, close it and reopen it. Keep iOS or iPadOS and Floatillery updated. Contact support before deleting the app if you want to preserve your progress, because removing the app can remove its local saves.
