Artist Statement

As a potter, I am fascinated by the endless possibilities that clay provides. Through my work, I seek to explore the relationship between form and texture, creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also tactile.

My primary focus is on creating textured vases on the pottery wheel, using a range of techniques to create unique and interesting surfaces. Whether it’s through the use of carving, stamping, or layering, each piece is a reflection of my love for experimentation and exploration.

In addition to texture, I am also drawn to earthy colors, which I use to accentuate the natural beauty of the clay. By combining different glazes and firing techniques, I am able to achieve a range of colors and effects, from warm browns and ochres to subtle blues and greens.

Through my work, I aim to create pieces that are both functional and decorative, with a sense of timelessness that speaks to the enduring appeal of ceramics. I believe that pottery has the power to connect us to the natural world and to each other, and I feel privileged to be able to share my passion for this ancient art form with others
